   The three-row crossover is a staple of American family life, and there are a lot of them to choose. Hyundai’s Santa Fe is one of the rare elegantly styled choices, but it comes with compromises to cargo and third-row passenger space. Its V-6 powertrain offers towing muscle but lags behind most rivals in both acceleration and fuel efficiency. This largest Hyundai SUV comes well equipped even in base SE trim, though, and quickly gets luxurious with a short walk up the option list.    So far, Alfa Romeo’s return to the U.S. has played out like a pop star’s entrance onto the scene. First came the flashy singles meant to garner lots of attention—in this case, the exotic 8C supercar, the 4C sports car, and the 505-horsepower Giulia Quadrifoglio supersedan. And now Alfa is embarking on a more difficult journey, fleshing out the full discography with more mainstream versions of the Giulia sedan that have a four-cylinder engine. Can this enticing upstart make a name for itself among the perennial chart toppers of the entry-luxury sedan world, namely the Audi A4, BMW 3-series, and Mercedes-Benz C-class?
